As primary and middle years educators, we accept as our main role, the preparation of children for their continuing education. More specifically, we work to ensure that children have gained the knowledge, skills and understandings defined by the school's curriculum.
As learning abilities differ, so does achievement. We aim to assist each child to realize their full potential.
Success in continued education is strongly reliant upon personal attitudes to learning. We believe that such attitudes are developed in the early years of schooling and accept a role, in partnership with parents, in the development of students as confident, self-reliant learners. The school actively promotes the concept of partnership with parents, expecting to include parents in decisions which effect their child's learning.
We accept a further shared role in the development of an understanding of the responsibilities of citizenship and in particular, global citizenship.
